Ratings slip futher down, but I think its still pulling a good amount, as I said they need to put it on at a different time or as iv seen mentioned in a comment, put it on in an earlier timeslot as people seem to forget shows in a later timeslot. And usually I tape shows that are past 9:30, so there could be more people watching it! So they need to think of these options, they dont try hard enough, they seem to give up on the slow rating shows to easily.
ABC’s “Pan Am” slipped to 5.89 million viewers and a 1.8 rating among adults 18-49.
Dont miss Margot Robbies appearance on “The View”!
The women on “The View” will be gabbing with some funny people next week. Patricia Heaton of ABC’s “The Middle” and Andy Samberg of NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” will visit. And Rowan Atkinson, too.
The ABC chatfest airs at 11 a.m. weekdays on WFTV-Channel 9.
Thursday: Christina Ricci, Kelli Garner, Margot Robbie and Karine Vanessa, stars of ABC’s “Pan Am.” Actor Michael Emerson of “Person of Interest.” a CBS show. The couple eliminated next week from ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars.”
This is US time, so pretty much our (Australias) Friday! Hopefully NBN will show this ep not long after!
Unfortunately the ratings have dropped again! You have to consider ‘Desperate Housewives’ also dropped in rating plus I think 6.4million viewers is still pretty good! Lets hope ABC doesnt put its future on the line! I love the show and not for just Margot but I like the whole cast plus the story lines! Plus the 3rd episode had a bit of historic value and was one of the best episodes so far!
“The ABC dramas took some serious hits in the adults 18-49 demographic, with new series Pan Am dropping 27% to a 1.9 rating/5 share and 6.4 million viewers, according to preliminary ratings.”
And maybe make this as an idea……maybe put it on another night, Pan Am has alot of competition on Sundays, for EG: The Amazing Race, Desperate Housewives, CSI & the iconic ’60 minutes’!!
ABC’s period airline drama starring Christina Ricci, Margot Robbie and Michael Mosley is also slated for air in the U.K., France, Canada, Spain, Japan and Australia.
Pan Am was one of the hottest U.S. shows out of this year’s L.A. Screenings and has already sold to most big international markets, with BBC2 taking the series for the U.K., TF1 on board for France, CTV handling Canada, Spanish rights going to pay channel Canal+, Imagica BS taking Japan and Nine Network airing the show in Australia.
Pan Am had a solid series launch, bowing to some 11 million viewers and a 3.1 share. Ratings for episode 2, which aired last Sunday, slipped to 7.7 million and a 2.6 share of the 18-49 demo. NBC’s The Playboy Club’s, which, like Pan Am features a 60s period setting and sex-and-relationship-driven storylines, was axed by the network after underwhelming ratings – Playboy’s Club bowed to 5 million viewers but quickly slipped to 3.2 million by episode 3 – and protests from the Parents Television Council, which called on advertisers to boycott the show.
With the 2nd episode of Pan Am which aired the other night unfortunatly slipped in ratings tho still had a reasonable large audience, my thoughts anyway! Heres some info taken from insidetv.ew.com!
The second week of ABC’s Pan Am lowered the drama’s ratings altitude, but it sure wasn’t alone as most Sunday shows declined from their premieres.
Pan Am (7.7 million, 2.5) fell 19 percent from its premiere. That’s a bigger drop than you hope to see, but not totally alarming either — it’s still likely enough to beat out CSI: Miami in the hour.
So all in all not a overall bad effort, and cant forget some people who record the show or like me, from other countries downloading it online and watching it on our computers! Also here is a preview to nxt wks episode (NOTE: Views who are outside the US and have not seen the show as of yet, this will contain spoilers!
