FORMER “Neighbours” starlet Margot Robbie may have had a bit of bad luck, with her airline TV series Pan Am being axed in the US.
But the up-and-coming actress, currently shooting comedy movie About Time with Rachael McAdams in England, is being tipped for one of the year’s biggest film roles.
The 21-year-old Melbourne local is reportedly in final talks with producers of the much-buzzed-about Martin Scorsese-directed The Wolf Of Wall Street – opposite Leonardo DiCaprio.
According to industry website Deadline, Robbie is tipped to play the female lead in the film that stars DiCaprio as the real-life (and now reformed) booze-swilling, drug-inhaling Wall Street broker Jordan Belfort.
It’s understood Robbie is likely to play Belfort’s wife Nadine, with Jonah Hill and French Oscar winner Jean Dujardin already confirmed for co-starring roles.
According to imdb.com, Margot will be playing in a Comedy/Drama/Sci-fi movie named “About Time” along side Rachel McAdams, Bill Nighy & Domhnall Gleeson. Supposed to be out for release sometime next year! Will keep you updated on this project, currently in Pre-Production!
With the fate of “Pan Am” still up in the air (no pun intended, seriously), it’s uncertain whether fans of the series will ever have a chance to see their favorite period drama again. But before the show calls it a season, and maybe a series, on Sunday (Feb. 19), they’re going out with a whopper of a storyline.
In a sneak preview video, we learn more about the troubled relationship between Ted (Michael Mosley) and Amanda (Ashley Greene). It appears that Ted might still have feelings for Laura (Margot Robbie).
Amanda confronts Laura, saying, “He’s running away from our wedding. I think the main reason is you.” Amanda then proposes something that she believes is in the best interest of all parties involved. But Laura isn’t so sure.
Dang, wont be seeing Pan Am not till December 4!! Here is info on the episode plus video preview!

Meanwhile, Kate attempts to regain her freedom from her courier duties by agreeing to one last mission for her British contact, but the dangerous assignment not only puts her life in jeopardy but Anderson’s as well; Maggie butts heads with a hawkish congressman who disagrees with her political views, but things really heat up when she tries to change his mind about his beliefs and ends up sparking an attraction with him; and back at home, Dean takes Colette to meet his parents and the two discover feelings that have been brewing for a long time, on “Pan Am,” SUNDAY, DECEMBER 4 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.
“Pan Am” stars Christina Ricci as Maggie, Margot Robbie as Laura, Michael Mosley as Ted, Mike Vogel as Dean, Karine Vanasse as Colette and Kelli Garner as Kate.

Take four very spirited stewardesses, two manly pilots, a hostile war zone and tropical storm conditions and mix them together. What do you get? ‘Unscheduled Departure,’ an action-packed episode of ‘Pan Am’ (Sun., Nov. 13, 10PM ET on ABC).
“This is actually my favorite episode,” Margot Robbie told AOL TV on the New York set of the ABC drama. “I think it’s my favorite episode so far. Berlin, I really, really love, but this one I literally couldn’t put the script down, and I’m not just saying that.”
In ‘Unscheduled Departures,’ the crew encounters serious turbulence — both inside and outside the plane — on the way to Caracas, Venezuela. A passenger suffers a heart attack and it turns out there’s no doctor on board the flight. Ted (Michael Mosley) and Colette (Karine Vanasse) venture out on their own to find help.
“It was one of my favorites too,” Mosley said. “There’s just an adrenaline to it that’s just really exciting. In prior episodes, there’d be two or three of us here and there, going off to do different things. In this one, we’re all facing the same direction.”
While searching for a doctor and medicine, Colette gets to use her native language.
“We take off, we’re not supposed to go to Haiti, but finally because of a hurricane and because of somebody being sick on the plane, we have to land,” Vanasse said. “Once we land, we sort of see that, well, we didn’t chose the right place to land.”
Along with the drama off the plane, the ladies have to deal with guest star Aaron Diaz. In the episode, the multi-talented Mexican star plays Miguel, a charming and wealthy passenger who has charmed the stewardesses with promises of yacht trips.
“It’s like an action movie in one episode,” Robbie said. “It’s incredible … The stakes are so high, it’s gripping.”

On Sunday night’s episode of “Pan Am,” we certainly saw a rather interesting diversion for Margot Robbie’s character of Laura — rather than get closer to being with Ted in this past episode, she ended up having a brief relationship with Joe, an African-American sailor that was treated poorly by a number of people for circumstances beyond his control.
So what’s goint to happen here? Speaking to E! News, Robbie says that Ted and Laura will not be on the backburner for particularly long:
“I was really surprised too, because I thought that they were definitely going to make that storyline happen first. But Laura and Ted kind of rekindle that in future episodes. In fact, in the next episode there is a lot more of Laura and Ted love interest storyline. It’s so sweet and it’s so fun.”
These two have already had one memorable storyline this season courtesy of trying to get an engagement ring back — so we’re excited to see what happens next.
With the 2nd episode of Pan Am which aired the other night unfortunatly slipped in ratings tho still had a reasonable large audience, my thoughts anyway! Heres some info taken from insidetv.ew.com!
The second week of ABC’s Pan Am lowered the drama’s ratings altitude, but it sure wasn’t alone as most Sunday shows declined from their premieres.
Pan Am (7.7 million, 2.5) fell 19 percent from its premiere. That’s a bigger drop than you hope to see, but not totally alarming either — it’s still likely enough to beat out CSI: Miami in the hour.
So all in all not a overall bad effort, and cant forget some people who record the show or like me, from other countries downloading it online and watching it on our computers! Also here is a preview to nxt wks episode (NOTE: Views who are outside the US and have not seen the show as of yet, this will contain spoilers!
Well it looks like Pan Am has attracted a large audience! Hope it keeps up! Quoted from orlandosentinel.com
ABC’s “Pan Am” got off to a good start with 10.9 million viewers and outdrew lead-in “Desperate Housewives,” with 9.8 million viewers.
I have yet to watch it since I live in Australia but am downloading it and will watch it soon =D. Hopefully ill get time to post captures from the pilot in acouple of days! Also have afew more stills and other photos to add aswell so stay tuned.x
