Quentin Tarantino may have settled on his next project.
In somewhat surprising news, word is that Tarantino could be soon tackling a film that revolves around the brutal Manson Family murders. Not only that, it looks like the film will have some big names on board as well.
THR broke the news, reporting that Tarantino has already penned what could be a “unique take” on the infamous murders and naming both Brad Pitt and Jennifer Lawrence as potential stars. Deadline has added that Aussie actress Margot Robbie and Tarantino regular Samuel L. Jackson have also been approached.
No details regarding the plot have been revealed, although THR is reporting that one of the script’s stories focuses on Sharon Tate, actress and wife of director Roman Polanski, who was eight months pregnant when she and four other occupants were murdered in ’69. Manson and some of his followers were given life sentences in prison.
It’s still early days, but the project is expected to start making the studios rounds after USA’s Labor Day (September 4), with a possible plan to start filming in mid-2018. Stay tuned as this one develops.
This still-untitled project be the penultimate film for the Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill filmmaker. Tarantino has repeatedly stated that he intends to stop directing movies after his 10th is completed.
