Neighbours star Margot Robbie has revealed she is in trouble with the soap’s bosses for getting a henna tattoo on her hand.
The actress, who plays Donna Freedman in the Aussie show, said she got the inking at a racing event, without realising it wouldn’t wash off.
She said: “I was in a tent at the races with an Indian theme, and they were doing henna tattoos, and I thought, that’s really cool.”
She went on: “I thought it was like face paint and come off straight away afterwards. And then I found out that it won’t come off for about a month.
“And I am in huge trouble at work today because we can’t just rock up with a tattoo. The make-up department are going to kill me. We’ve had to do a major cover-up. It’s a drama.”
She said the body art breaks “strict” rules, and berated herself for not reading the signs.
“We’ve got really strict rules – usually, I can’t even paint my nails or put on fake tan or I’ll get in trouble with continuity, so a tattoo is definitely out of bounds.
“It would have been a better story if I had been drunk, but I was sober. I was just an idiot and didn’t read the sign that says it doesn’t wash off.”
However, she said the inking might be easier to hide as it was on her left hand.
