Margot Robbie Confused Prince Harry for Ed Sheeran at a Party and Plays The Whisper Challenge With Jimmy Fallon.

"Labradoodle?"

On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Tuesday night, Australian actress Margot Robbie told the comedian about the time Prince Harry followed her and some friends into a photo booth at a housewarming party in London hosted by the model Suki Waterhouse.

In her defense, “He wasn’t wearing a crown,” she told Fallon, so “I don’t know it’s a prince.”

She claims she told the royal that she thought he was another fair-skinned redhead, singer Ed Sheeran, and “he got really offended.”

Margot Robbie can whisper, but can’t necessarily read lips.

The Whiskey Tango Foxtrot actress stopped by Tuesday’s Tonight Show to play a few rounds of The Whisper Challenge, in which she and Jimmy Fallon take turns guessing random names and phrases while wearing noise-canceling headphones.

Robbie nailed her phrase deliveries to Fallon, but had trouble reading his lips whenever he said “Bondi Beach” and “Labradoodle.”

Marie Claire: 5 Minutes With… Margot Robbie

MARIE CLAIRE: You were circling this part for a while. What kept you so interested?
MARGOT ROBBIE:
I was hoping to play a role really different to the roles I d been playing before that, and I was also hoping to film on a much smaller scale than the ones I d been doing. I’d just wrapped on Focus when we did Z for Zachariah and a lot of the films I d done before that had big plot points and huge locations. When you do an indie film you have a much smaller budget so you have less time to shoot it in and I think the time pressure can get the best out of you. I was so hoping that they would give me a chance!

ELLE Interview: Margot Robbie

From Ramsay Street to the Oscars red carpet, Robbie’s star is burning brighter than ever before.

With her sci-fi thriller, Z For Zachariah, releasing on DVD this January, we caught up with Aussie soap star-come-good Margot Robbie.

You play a woman who survives in solitude and has quite a challenging existence on the land. Did you feel like this was a role you could easily step into considering where you grew up [in the Gold Coast, and on her grandparent’s farm]?

Yeah there were definitely parts of the character that resonated with me more than any other of the characters I’ve played before, definitely the landscape and just being out on property and stuff felt more like home than shooting in New York, for example. But the solitude part was something kind of foreign to me. I grew up in a very big bustling family and these days I’m always on sets which are with lots of people; and I live with a bunch of people and I’m not really ever on my own. So it was very… it was a bit of a shock to the system to go straight from doing a whole bunch of filming and press to be suddenly in the middle of nowhere in New Zealand. It was a really isolated location which worked perfectly for the film but it was definitely a shock to the system. I think that if I was ever in Ann’s position I think that’s the thing I would definitely struggle with the most is just being on your own, it’s something I’m really not used to.

SUICIDE SQUAD’S MARGOT ROBBIE ON FEARING THE JOKER AND ALMOST STARRING IN FANTASTIC FOUR

Actress Margot Robbie has admitted that she was intimidated by Jared Leto’s Joker when she started working with him.

“At first it was kind of confronting but now I’m so used to it, I think if I ever saw him out of makeup now I would be really confused,” she said in an interview with The New York Daily News.

“Actually, I saw him out of makeup once and I was actually petrified of him,” she said. “I was too scared to go up and didn’t know who that person was, and when he got back into his makeup I was far more comfortable.”

According to Robbie, playing a villain can be a lot of fun. Especially for her, as her character Harley Quinn is known for being eccentric and erratic.

“I guess the one common denominator is we’re all bad guys, it just makes everything more fun that way,” she said. “The scenes are more interesting I feel, when you just don’t know how the characters are going to react, especially with Harley, who’s absolutely nuts… she’s either going to kill you or laugh and give you a hug.”

Suicide Squad is Robbie’s first comic-book adaptation, but things could have turned out very differently for her as far as super-powered roles go. The actress says she was up for the role of Sue Storm in the recent bomb Fantastic Four (though the part ultimately went to Kate Mara).

“I didn’t really resonate with the script, and I haven’t seen the movie, so I don’t really know how it turned out different from the page,” she said. “But I had a great meeting with the director (Josh Trank) and I really enjoyed that. I guess it’s part of the game: Sometime[s] you win some, sometimes you lose some.”

Suicide Squad recently wrapped filming and will open in theaters on August 5, 2016.

Cover Story: Margot Robbie kept the rat Suicide Squad co-star Jared Leto gave her as a pet

Jared Leto went very method when it came to sending gifts to his Suicide Squad co-stars, including giving a live rat to co-star Margot Robbie, who plays Harley Quinn to Leto’s Joker.

Now, in a new interview with Elle magazine, Robbie reveals that she’s kept the rat as a pet — and even named it.

The rat is called Rat Rat (“Original!” the actress quipped). Several crew members suggested killing it, the magazine’s August cover story says, but Robbie decided to keep it because, “If Harley got something from Joker, she’d probably cherish it.”

Rat Rat, the article adds, “now dines on organic berries from Whole Foods.” Ah, the life of a celebrity pet.

Suicide Squad arrives in theaters Aug. 5, 2016. You can see some photos from Robbie’s Elle shoot below, and head to the magazine’s website for more from her interview. The August issue hits newsstands July 21.

Why did production assistants run from ‘Focus’ star Margot Robbie?

While making the caper dramedy Focus, Will Smith and Margot Robbie trained on set with thief expert Apollo Robbins, who taught Smith mind tricks and Robbie how to lift cellphones off unsuspecting production assistants.

It didn’t always go so well.

“I chickened out when I had to do the actual lift and the guy turned around and my hand was in his back pocket,” says Robbie, mimicking her shame. “And it just looked like I was trying to cop a feel. Every time I walked past him in the hallways he’d put his back to the wall.”

And thus, a set reputation was born. Or as Smith mimics it: “That’s Margot Robbie, Australian ass-grabber!”Read more on the bad word that got Margot the job.

Margot Robbie: I idolised Dakota Fanning

Margot Robbie used to panic when she saw Dakota Fanning in big movies.

The 24-year-old actress is one of the hottest names in the industry right now thanks to her role opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in 2013’s The Wolf of Wall Street and a recent nomination for the EE BAFTA Rising Star award.

Australian-born Margot started out with a role in soap Neighbours and remembers feeling an intense urge to make it in America. And seeing 20-year-old Dakota make waves really pushed her along.

“I would freak out, because I was only 17 and Dakota Fanning was younger than me and doing all these films. I would say to myself, ‘I need to get a move on,'” she admitted to ShortList magazine.

“I’m just a very impatient person. I remember when I signed with my agent, I told him we needed to get the ball rolling with the US. He said, ‘You don’t need to be in such a hurry,’ and I said, ‘Yes I do.’ The person I compared myself to was so much younger than me, and I needed to get a move on. My agent said, ‘Enough with Dakota Fanning!’ I think I drove him crazy. I used every minute I got.”

Neighbours didn’t exactly ease Margot into her career, with the star describing it as a “bootcamp” for actors. When she walked off set, she promised herself she’d never work on anything as tough again, although she admits it taught her good discipline.

Her latest film is Focus, which co-stars Will Smith. Many know him as The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, but Margot was blissfully unaware.

“Will is everything you can imagine, and more – but I’d actually never heard of The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air,” she confessed.

“He was… not offended, but maybe a little surprised I didn’t know who Jazzy Jeff was. I didn’t understand a lot of the references, which of course the crew were all over. I said his name wrong, I called him Jazzy Jam or something. Will said, ‘Are you serious” I had no idea what he was talking about. I think he thought I was a lost cause.”
