With the 2nd episode of Pan Am which aired the other night unfortunatly slipped in ratings tho still had a reasonable large audience, my thoughts anyway! Heres some info taken from insidetv.ew.com!
The second week of ABC’s Pan Am lowered the drama’s ratings altitude, but it sure wasn’t alone as most Sunday shows declined from their premieres.
Pan Am (7.7 million, 2.5) fell 19 percent from its premiere. That’s a bigger drop than you hope to see, but not totally alarming either — it’s still likely enough to beat out CSI: Miami in the hour.
So all in all not a overall bad effort, and cant forget some people who record the show or like me, from other countries downloading it online and watching it on our computers! Also here is a preview to nxt wks episode (NOTE: Views who are outside the US and have not seen the show as of yet, this will contain spoilers!
Well it looks like Pan Am has attracted a large audience! Hope it keeps up! Quoted from orlandosentinel.com
ABC’s “Pan Am” got off to a good start with 10.9 million viewers and outdrew lead-in “Desperate Housewives,” with 9.8 million viewers.
I have yet to watch it since I live in Australia but am downloading it and will watch it soon =D. Hopefully ill get time to post captures from the pilot in acouple of days! Also have afew more stills and other photos to add aswell so stay tuned.x
*Sorry for lack of updates, been busy etc. Will have afew new photos added up soon! =]
Taking an airplane never looked so good.
‘Pan Am,’ slated to start in the fall, follows a group of young flight attendants who sign on to the “new” luxury airline in the hopes of making a change in their lives. The passengers and crew face a voyage whose landscape is shaped by romance, a volatile 1960s society and yes, even undercover espionage.
Starring Margot Robbie (‘Neighbours’), Kelli Garner (‘My Generation’), Karine Vanasse (‘Polytechnique’) and movie star Christina Ricci as the flight attendants, there is no shortage of sexiness in the sky. But that sexiness is not easily found, according to Ricci.
“We wear girdles,” said Ricci. “It’s literally a half-hour pee break. Someone has to help you, because afterward it’s all unhooked.”
“The girdles make you walk a certain way,” she continued. “It keeps your legs together.”
“I don’t know how women in the 1960s did it,” adds Robbie. “I don’t know how women got dressed by themselves.”
Gotta say, Miss Robbie is bound for great things! And what a way to start than in a new American TV Show “Pan Am” based on the airlines stewardess! And whats more exciting its signed up as a TV Series, lets hope its a smash and continues to be a numerous season show! Iv added photos that have been added around the web, and also a Trailer for the series! Enjoy.x
In her first U.S. gig, young Australian actress Margot Robbie has landed a lead role on ABC’s drama pilot Pan Am, a sexy soap set against the Jet-Age about pilots and flight attendants working at the iconic Pan Am airline in the 1960s. Robbie will play Laura, a radiantly beautiful new stewardess whose candid graduation shot is on the cover of Life Magazine.
Neighbours star Margot Robbie has revealed that she wants to see screen mother Tottie Goldsmith back in Erinsborough.
The actress’s character Donna Freedman was devastated last year when scheming mum Cassandra descended on Ramsay Street for a short-lived stint. Cass’s time with her daughter only served to worsen their relationship and she ended up leaving the street in disgrace.
However, Robbie told TV Soap that they got on much better in real life, explaining: “I would love Tottie to come back. We just had a ball when she was on set. It was just the most fun.
“We would giggle, and once we started we just couldn’t stop. It was ridiculous. So any excuse to get Cass back on the show, I would fully get behind that.”
Robbie also commented on Donna’s turbulent romance with Ringo Brown (Sam Clark), which recently ended after she grew close to new arrival Andrew Robinson (Jordan Smith).
Speaking of the pair’s future, she explained: “I think at the moment it’s quite in the balance. It’s right up to the network at the moment as to whether they’ll get back together or not.”
A then 16-year-old Margot Robbie with her ICU co-stars Christian Radford (left) and James Dean (right) during filming on the Gold Coast in 2007
IT has been a long time coming, but Margot Robbie’s first-ever acting role will finally hit the big screen this weekend as part of the Gold Coast Film Fantastic, which opens today.
Gold Coast-raised actor Robbie stars as Donna Freedman on Australian soapie Neighbours but her debut performance was a starring role in actor/writer and director Aash Aaron’s psychological thriller ICU, filmed more than two years ago.
Budget constraints forced Aaron to put ICU on the back seat while he and Robbie filmed another feature, Vigilante, which screened at last year’s Gold Coast Film Fantastic.
However, the director has since completed ICU and will unveil his handiwork as part of this year’s four-day Film Fantastic.
Aaron, who has also starred in Neighbours and US series The Starter Wife, says Robbie was not his first choice for ICU.
“I cast the two boys (Christian Radford and James Dean) and another girl and I felt at the first rehearsal, though beautiful, the girl just didn’t have the passion,” says Aaron.
“I asked Christian if he knew anyone and he said ‘I’ve got a girl who I’ve grown up with like a sister and she’s just dynamic’.”
That girl was Robbie, who was just 16 years old at the time. The teenager spent four months training with Aaron before shooting began in one of Q1’s highest apartments.
